Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement after a fight at his New Jersey prison, TMZ first reported.

The harsh punishment followed an altercation at FCI Fort Dix, unnamed sources told the outlet.

Fort Dix’s Admission and Orientation Inmate Handbook, lays out what this means.

While in “Disciplinary Segregation,” Combs will be stuck solo inside four walls. “This status is used as a sanction for violations of Bureau rules and regulations,” according to the handbook.

In the so-called Hole, located in a Special Housing Unit, prisoners are supplied with the bare minimum with their personal property “usually” impounded.

Combs will be issued blankets, a mattress, pillow, toilet paper and shaving tools “as necessary,” as well as legal and religious materials.

The 56-year-old father of seven will be attended to by a medical professional every day to check his health, and provided with a regular review of his status.

And absolutely no chit-chatting with fellow inmates.

“Communication between inmates housed in the Special Housing Unit and inmates in the general population is strictly prohibited,” the website adds.

Combs’ lawyers are working to spring their client from the Hole. Before the latest headlines, Combs had been reportedly on his best behavior; with the legal team consistently praised him for working in the chapel library and participating in a drug rehabilitation program. One of his lead lawyers, Juda Engelmayer, wrote in an email to the Miami Herald that they were “not in a position to comment on those issues at the moment.”

It doesn’t appear that the alleged transgression affected the disgraced rapper’s release date, which has been changed several times since he first got to Fort Dix last October.

And inmate No. 37452-054’s release on the Federal Bureau of Prison’s website was just altered again. A scan of the site Wednesday reveals roughly two weeks have been shaved off the sentence, meaning Combs walks out of there Jan. 24, 2028. Last week it stood at Feb. 8, 2028.

Also of note: Upon returning to his compound in Star Island in Miami Beach, the Grammy winner will only have one mansion there, instead of two. Combs’ business partners recently sold 1 Star Island Drive, for $55 million. The “Last Night” singer bought the digs from the Estefans in 2021 for $35 million.

The fallen music mogul was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution after being acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. The ruling came after a highly publicized July 2025 jury trial.
