Michael Lohan sentenced to 9 months in jail for violating probation

Actress Lindsay Lohan’s dad, Michael Lohan, has been sentenced to nine months behind bars for violating his probation earlier this year, in connection with allegedly assaulting estranged wife Kate Major.
A judge sentenced the 64-year-old Lohan, whose domestic disputes with Majors date back to at least 2011, on Wednesday in Florida, TMZ reports. Lohan will receive 38 days’ credit for time served.
Lohan was arrested last month in Palm Beach County for violating probation in connection with a February arrest in Texas when he was charged with Continuous Violence Against the Family for allegedly assaulting 42-year-old Major.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office told People that Major reported at the time that Lohan “flipped her out of a chair” at her home in February and then appeared in the parking lot of a building where she had a medical appointment. Major reportedly said she “was concerned he was following her.”
Insiders with direct knowledge told TMZ this week that Lohan pleaded guilty to violating probation and that his wife appeared in court via Zoom.
In 2022, Lohan was sentenced to four years of probation in Florida after he pleaded guilty to five counts of patient brokering, or scoring illegal kickbacks for the patients he referred to a rehab center.
Lohan was arrested in 2011 for battery on Major, his then-fiancée, at their Tampa home. The pair, who share two young sons, wed in 2014, with Major filing for divorce four years later and requesting sole custody.
