'MICHAEL'
Rated PG-13 for some thematic material, language, and smoking.
What it’s about: A biopic about the King of Pop set during the early (noncontroversial) days of his career, from 1966 to 1988.
The kid attractor factor: Most likely the music.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Learn to go your own way and write your own songs.
Violence: Some physical abuse against children.
Language: Some swearing.
Sex: None
Drugs: Smoking but no drug use.
Parents’ advisory: This is definitely a safe and family-friendly version of the Michael Jackson story for all audiences, for better or for worse.

'I SWEAR'
Rated R for language throughout and some violence.
What it’s about: A biopic of Scottish Tourette's advocate John Davidson.
The kid attractor factor: Might be of interest to those with a special interest in Tourette's and that experience.
Good lessons/bad lessons: So many people are different and should be treated with respect and kindness.
Violence: A brutal beating, some corporal punishment in schools, a bar fight, etc.
Language: Well ... it's right there in the title. There's a lot of swearing, due to John's tics and involuntary outbursts from his coprolalia.
Sex: None
Drugs: Marijuana smoking and references to drug trafficking.
Parents’ advisory: Though there's plenty of swearing this is more in the PG-13 range, content-wise. OK for older kids and teens.
