The White Lotus unveils Helena Bonham Carter's replacement

Laura Dern is replacing Helena Bonham Carter in The White Lotus.
Helena Bonham Carter, 59, quit the hit HBO shortly after the cameras started rolling on season four because her character "did not align once on set" and now it's been confirmed Jurassic Park star Laura Dern will take over from her.
Reports suggest Laura will not be playing the same character that was created for Helena Bonham Carter and will instead be portraying a new role after creator Mike White rejigged his plans for the script.
Dern and White previously worked together on TV series Enlightened and 2007 film Year of the Dog.
After Helena Bonham Carter bowed out, TV bosses confirmed the part was going to be rewritten and recast.
An HBO spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline: "With filming just underway on Season 4 of The White Lotus, it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set.
"The role has subsequently been rethought, is being rewritten and will be recast in the coming weeks. HBO, the producers and Mike White are saddened that they won't get to work with her, but remain ardent fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon."
The show follows guests and staff at fictional hotel chain called The White Lotus and every series has been set in a different country. The fourth series will take place at a luxury resort in the South of France during the Cannes Film Festival.
Other previously announced members of the ensemble cast for season four include Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Sandra Bernhard and Heather Graham.
Filming locations on the French Riviera will include Cannes, St. Tropez and Monaco while the Airelles Chateau de la Messardiere in Saint-Tropez will double as the White Lotus du Cap and the Hotel Martinez as the White Lotus Cannes. Some filming will also take place in Paris.
Previous seasons have been set in Hawaii, Thailand and Italy and have featured stars including Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Sydney Sweeney, Aubrey Plaza, Sam Rockwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Michelle Monaghan, Aimee Lou Wood, Jason Isaacs and Walton Goggins.
Originally conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic, The White Lotus was designed as a contained production set in a luxury resort in Hawaii, allowing filming to proceed under strict conditions.
The first season followed wealthy guests and staff at a Hawaiian resort and HBO subsequently renewed the series, transforming it into an anthology with each season set in a new luxury destination.
The second season, set in Sicily, expanded the show's scope while maintaining its core themes of wealth, relationships and moral ambiguity.
A third season, set in Thailand, continued the formula of new characters, location-driven storytelling and interconnected narratives.
