Paul Rudd has been "amazed" by Nick Jonas' acting skills in Power Ballad.
The 57-year-old actor stars alongside Nick, 33, in Power Ballad, the new musical comedy drama film, and Paul has admitted to being impressed by his co-star.
Speaking to People, Paul explained: "I can't say that I was surprised because I've seen him act, but he did things that were kind of so subtle and really deft, the stuff that was going on behind his eyes.
"He'd be going through these dilemmas, and he's not saying anything, but you can read his mind. It's such good acting, and I was just amazed at some of the stuff he was doing."
Paul said watching the final edit revealed just how impressive Nick's performance was, particularly in scenes he hadn't been present for.
The Hollywood star said: "When I saw the movie, it was like, 'Oh my God.' There were scenes that I wasn't there to film, and yeah, he knocked me out. So, not much of a surprise, but I kept thinking, 'Oh, I need to remember this.' And he's just cool. Like he just plays everything cool because he is cool."
Nick is married to fellow movie star Priyanka Chopra, and he recently praised her "willingness to get her hands dirty".
The actor heaped praise on his wife, recalling one particular incident when she was injured on the set of Citadel, the spy action series.
Nick - who has also enjoyed huge success as a musician - told Variety: "A camera matte box accidentally hit her in the eyebrow during the action sequence.
"She was bleeding, and I get a call that she's been injured. I'm freaking out. But then she basically was like, 'We need that to get this scene. I'm gonna tough it out.' And she stayed in there and just grinded it out. Her determination, her grit, her willingness to get her hands dirty, really shows on the screen.
"You can feel her passion, her drive and the care that she brings to each role she plays. It's a pretty big honour to get that front-row seat and get to watch her brilliance."
