Margaret Qualley, Jack Antonoff reportedly split after 'years' of 'issues,' 'lack of trust'

Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff’s separation was “initiated” by the actress, after years of “issues” in their marriage, including a “lack of trust.”
A source told Us Weekly that “The Substance” star, 31, and the 42-year-old Grammy winner split “recently,” and though they attempted “to work on the marriage a few months ago … it ultimately wasn’t working.”
The Daily News has reached out to representatives for Qualley and Antonoff.
“They have been having issues for the last few years. Margaret initiated the separation,” the insider told Us. “Both of their busy schedules and distance were factors, along with many other things like lack of trust in the marriage.”
“At some point, the rose-colored glasses came off for Margaret, and she felt she needed to take a step back,” said the insider, though the couple ostensibly doesn’t “have divorce plans yet.”
Antonoff, a frequent collaborator of Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter, and Emmy nominee Qualley — the daughter of 1990s star Andie MacDowell — married in 2023.
News of the split comes on the heels of Lena Dunham’s hit memoir “Famesick,” which hit shelves this spring and details the ins and outs of her more than five-year relationship with Antonoff, which ended in 2017.
The exes made headlines last week when both were seen separately heading to Madison Square Garden for the star-studded rehearsal dinner and wedding of Swift and Travis Kelce.
Qualley was nowhere to be seen at the time and this week, TMZ on Tuesday clocked that she’d deleted nearly all photos of Antonoff from her Instagram page, though it’s unclear when she did so. News broke later that day that the pair had separated.
