Sacha Baron Cohen will release Ali G: Who Iz I? in cinemas later this year.

The 54-year-old actor is bringing back his iconic rude boy character for a new movie through Amazon MGM Studios on October 23.

Alongside an announcement video, Baron Cohen - as Ali G - wrote: "Dey haz finally made a documentary about me.

"And it ain't like dat crap one about da penguins, dis haz got at least twice as much animal sex.

"Ali G: Who Iz I? Cominatcha on 10.23 wotever dat means. (sic)"

As reported by Deadline, the movie will mark Baron Cohen's directorial debut as he reprises one of his most famous satirical comic creations.

The hip-hop influenced character first appeared on Channel 4's The 11 O'clock Show, before landing his own Da Ali G Show in the early 2000s.

Ali G has interviewed plenty of high profiles names over the years, including Donald Trump before he became president.

The movie announcement follows recent reports Baron Cohen has secretly wrapped filming on a new Ali G film.

As reported by The InSneider, the rude boy interviewer is making a return, after he was most recently seen on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2024.

It's said filming has been completed, while the project has been in development since before the 2023 Hollywood writers' strike.

The actor, who is also known for his work on the likes of 2006's Borat and its 2020 sequel Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, did revive Ali G in 2023, when he made a surprise appearance at The Comedy Store in Sydney, Australia.

Earlier this month, Baron Cohen brought back Ali G as he tried to sell marijuana at Wimbledon.

In character, he wrote on Instagram: "I iz BACK!

"And if u iz at dis borin wimbledore final lookin 2 get grand slammed, I iz here wif de hookup... dm me, especially if u iz fit. (sic)"

In the video, Ali G described tennis as "a crap version of ping pong".

Speaking from the tournament, he said: "It's like the World Cup of something called tennis, which is like a crap version of ping pong.

"Them say that tennis is better played on grass, which is why I intend to sell as much of it while iz here.

"So if you want some herbal remedies, me got anything you want."
