ANAHEIM, Calif. — Just Like Heaven is returning to Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday, Aug. 22, bringing a day of indie rock, dance and nostalgia with the Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Chromeo and more.

The one-day festival features performances across two stages, with a lineup that also includes TV Girl, the Rapture, Feist, Dayglow, Twin Peaks, Matt and Kim, STRFKR, Whitney and others.

Beyond the music, festivalgoers can explore a vintage and handmade market, spend time on the dance floor with A Club Called Rhonda, or even catch roaming marionettes courtesy of Los Angeles’ Bob Baker Marionette Theater.

Festival experiences

There’s more happening between sets than just finding your way from one stage to another.

The Heavenly Objects Market returns with a curated selection of vintage and handmade clothing and goods from local vendors. A Club Called Rhonda, the long-running Los Angeles dance party, will also return to the festival with DJ sets throughout the day on its checkered dance floor.

For younger festivalgoers, or anyone with an appreciation for puppets, Bob Baker Marionette Theater will take over Cosmic Kids Land. Marionettes will make appearances throughout the festival with surprise performances and walkaround encounters, while a hands-on activity station will give guests a chance to try puppeteering with the theater’s felt puppets.

Cosmic Kids Land will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Children 10 and younger receive free festival admission, though no more than two children may enter per supervising parent or guardian.

Parking and transportation
