NEW YORK — Yankees’ Assistant Director of Baseball Communications Mike Pinsky will compete on the 51st season of CBS’s “Survivor.”

His addition to the long-running reality TV competition was announced by the program on Wednesday.

“I don’t do anything for second place,” he says in a video previewing his appearance. “I’m here to win the game. Period. Full stop.”

The 32-year-old executive from New York City said he used to play “Survivor” with friends in their apartments when he 8 years old. They would create their own challenges and take turns pretending to be host Jeff Probst.

“I am someone who shoots for these seemingly impossible-to-reach targets,” Pinsky says.

He said his responsibilities with the Yankees include advising team brass on which players to sign, what to pay them and which trades to make.

“Ultimately my job is to make recommendations to help win the World Series,” Pinsky states.

Pinsky has been with the Yankees since 2017, according to his LinkedIn page. The Bronx Bombers last reached the World Series in 2024, but haven’t won a championship since 2009. They host the Houston Astros on Wednesday night.

Pinsky’s “Survivor” competitors will include a professional wrestler, a former “Grey’s Anatomy” star, a federal prosecutor, a criminal defense attorney and a personal trainer.

“Survivor” launched in 2000. It was inspired by a similar Swedish show. Its new season, which was filmed in Fiji, premieres on Sept. 23.

Each season’s winner had historically taken home a $1 million prize, though contestants in its 50th season were surprised to learn that cycle’s victor would receive double that amount.

Season 51 is said to be the beginning of what is being called the “Open Era” of the long-running competition series.“For the first time ever, our entire history — every advantage, every idol, every twist we’ve ever done, 50 seasons of Survivor — is in play, along with dangerous new elements never seen before,'” Probst teased in a promo that aired after the Season 50 finale in May.
