Wrestling star Pac has died aged 40.

The British wrestler, who rose to fame as Adrian Neville in WWE from 2012 to 2018 before joining All Elite Wrestling, passed away on Sunday (27.09.26) just one day after his final match.

AEW said in a statement: "All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac.

"A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.

"Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history.

"Our condolences go out to Satterley's family, friends and fans."

Satterly's cause of death is yet to be revealed.

His final match was the opening bout of Saturday's (26.09.26) AEW All Out event in Chicago against Andrade El Idolo.

WWE superstar Rhea Ripley is among those to pay tribute to the late wrestling star.

She wrote on X: What a tragic day. What an extremely talented person. Speechless… RIP PAC."

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman added: "Oh no. No no no no no no no.

"What a tremendous talent and even finer human being. My most profound condolences to all who knew him. A truly terrible loss!"

Satterley's fellow British star Paige hailed him as an "incredible human" and "truly one of the best".

She continued: "This is heartbreaking.. sending so much love to his family and everyone else who was lucky enough to know him personally and to all who got to watch him perform and witness the greatness that was that man. Rest in power Ben."

AEW boss Tony Khan has shared his own tribute, describing Satterley as a "beloved husband and friend to his many loved ones".

He wrote: "Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband and friend to his many loved ones, + in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency + dedication to the sport that he loved traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace."

Englishman Will Ospreay, who successfully defended the AEW World Championship hours after what ended up being Satterley's final match, said he feels "honoured" to have wrestled him on several occasions.

He said: "The greatest export from our country.

Also the greatest human being. Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times.

"You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.

"Forever our B***** ... RIP Pac".

WWE fan favourite Becky Lynch hailed him as "one of the best in every way possible".

Satterley made his name as Pac on the UK independent scene, making his debut in March 2004 and building up a reputation for his innovative high flying style.

He caught the eye of WWE and signed for the company in 2012, debuting as Adrian Neville before becoming NXT Champion the following year.

He made history when he main evented NXT TakeOver in May 2014, which marked the first live event ever broadcast on the WWE Network.

Satterley moved to Monday Night Raw in 2016, and went onto become Cruiserweight Champion, helping define the division until he walked out the following year.

He officially left in 2018, and just AEW for its launch five months later.

There, he held the All-Atlantic and World Trios Championships, capturing the latter alongside Penta and Rey Fenix.
