Def Leppard going on tour with Goo Goo Dolls, who are way better than Mötley Crüe
Published in Entertainment News
SAN JOSE, Calif. — Def Leppard is hitting the road again.
And, as per usual, Def Leppard is bringing along a co-headliner to help sell some extra tickets. This time around, it’s a quite unexpected one — Goo Goo Dolls.
Yeah, there probably weren’t a lot of people expecting a pairing of classic rockers Def Leppard and ’90s pop-rock hitmakers Goo Goo Dolls. But, hey, it could work — maybe not as well as previous treks with fellow classic rockers Journey.
Yet, without a doubt, Goo Goo Dolls are leaps and bounds better than Def Leppard’s other longtime tourmate — Mötley Crüe.
But, of course, who isn’t?
Northern California fans can catch Def Leppard and Goo Goo Dolls — plus opening act the Struts — on May 5 at Chase Center in San Francisco and May 7 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Oct. 16, livenation.com.
There also several presales happening — artist fan club presale beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 12; Citi and Verizon Shine presales starting at noon Oct. 12 (www.citientertainment.com, My Verizon App).
