Kid Rock's "Halfway 2 Jesus," the Motor City rocker's new Christian album (and 13th studio album overall), missed the Billboard 200 albums chart in its debut week, but landed in the top 10 on Billboard's Christian Albums chart.

It's Rock's second consecutive album to blank on the Billboard 200 on its debut week, after 2022's "Bad Reputation." That album did eventually make a one-week appearance on the album chart, landing at No. 124, and then slipping from the weekly tally.

Prior to "Bad Reputation," Rock's previous seven studio albums all debuted inside the top 10 of the Billboard 200. He hit No. 1 with "Rock N Roll Jesus," his 2007 set; 2015's "First Kiss" and 2000's compilation album, "The History of Rock," both launched at No. 2.

"Cocky," in 2003, kicked off at No. 7 (it eventually rose to No. 3), while 2010's "Born Free" and 2012's "Rebel Soul" both debuted at No. 5. The self-titled "Kid Rock," in 2003, started off at No. 8, as did 2017's "Sweet Southern Sugar."

"Devil Without a Cause," Rock's 1998 breakthrough album, peaked at No. 4 on the main albums chart.

"Halfway 2 Jesus" was released Oct. 17, on a Saturday, so it missed one day of chart activity. Billboard measures data from Fridays through Thursdays.

"Halfway 2 Jesus" debuts at No. 10 on this week’s Top Christian Albums chart. The album was released on Rock's own Top Dog Records, as was "Bad Reputation."

"Heal My Faith," Rock's track from the 17-track album featuring Eminem, debuts on this week's Hot Christian Songs chart at No. 38. The album's first single, "James 1:17 (Jesus is King)," debuted at No. 26 on last week's Hot Christian Songs chart.

Zach Bryan's latest album, "Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs," leads the debuts on this week's Billboard 200, landing at No. 2. Other chart debuts include Fontaines D.C. (No. 14), Ashe (No. 20), Plave (No. 31), and Lucki (No. 41).

This week's Billboard 200 is led by Olivia Rodrigo's "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love," which notches its third nonconsecutive week at No. 1.

While Rock, 55, has been a divisive figure in American politics for the better part of the last decade, he told The Detroit News earlier this month that with the new album he's "making a conscious effort to be a little less polarizing."

"I'm not gonna just lie down and get stepped on, but that doesn't mean I have to walk around with my fists clenched all the time," Rock said. "I could execute a little more grace."
