Jenny McCarthy says she is living in a tent after mold poisoning

NEW YORK — Jenny McCarthy has opened up about her “absolutely fricking insane” health journey, revealing to fans she is currently living in a tent as way to detox after mold poisoning.
The “Masked Singer” judge delved into the “insane” yearslong struggle with mold and mycotoxin poisoning during this week’s episode of her podcast, “The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show.” She said the saga started off with a “with a freaking toothache,” but her symptoms quickly spiraled out of control from there.
They forced her “down a rabbit hole of doctors, surgeries, teeth being pulled, mysterious growths popping up in places you are not expecting, implants literally falling out, and eventually realizing my immune system was fighting something so much bigger,” she recalled. Her first oral surgery did little, given the fact that her infection had already spread too far. Next, swollen bumps started to appear on her eyelid, which doctors worried could’ve been “a cancer issue.”
McCarthy said she became “so desperate to heal” that she moved into a tent.
After what felt like “surgery number 25,500,” McCarthy said a functional medicine doctor called her up and suggested that she be tested for mold. By that time, though, McCarthy said she was suffering from “medical fatigue,” explaining to fans that she wanted to push off the next doctor’s visit given it was around the holidays at the time.
Finally, she spoke to the doctor, who told her: “Jenny, you’ve got serious mold. You’ve got the type of mold that causes seizures. If this thing crosses the blood-brain barrier, I’m going to be talking to you in the hospital. You’re going to start seizing.”
McCarthy said she was grateful to finally figure out the cause of all of her medical problems, but noted that she is still experiencing some symptoms.
“I’m still in my mold detox, you guys. I’m still in it, like, I’m knee-deep in it,” she explained. “I’m in month seven of detox and I’m too paranoid to honestly live anywhere else other than a tent.”
