Chappell Roan shared how Noah Kahan "always stands up for me" as the pair duetted at his biggest headline concert to date.

The Stick Season hitmaker played for more than 56,000 fans at a sold-out Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, on Saturday night (15.08.26), as part of his The Great Divide tour.

The pair aptly performed Chappell's song California much to the delight of the packed-out venue.

During his faux payphone skit, Noah picked up and answered: "Hello, God?"

He then said: "Oh, you think because it's my biggest headline show ever that at some point I should bring out a super special guest?"

The pop star then came out to perform the track from her 2023 album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.

Interacting with the audience, Chappell said: "Noah always stands up for me, seriously."

She added: "He's a good person, for real."

Noah, meanwhile, claimed that California was the first song he ever heard by the Pink Pony Club hitmaker.

He said: "This is the first song I ever heard of Kayleigh's [Roan's real first name] and the reason I fell in love with her music, and I'm just really proud of her and thankful that she would come sing with me. So this is California."

Last month, Chappell made another surprise appearance during Rosalía's concert at Oakland Coliseum, taking part in a confessional during the LUX Tour gig and dishing on a date that ended with her being ghosted and told they'd moved on.
