NEW YORK — It’s a love story — just not one with a castle.

Contrary to previous reports, People reports there will be no giant castle inside Madison Square Garden for Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce, which is rumored to be this weekend. That doesn’t mean, though, that the legendary New York City venue isn’t being entirely “transformed” for the upcoming nuptials.

“Not a castle but it looks very special,” a source told the outlet. “They have grass, carpets and canopies, and it looks like a place where you’d get married. There’s a stage set up, but it’s special.”

A second source similarly disputed the rumor. When asked whether a castle was being built in MSG, they responded: “Absolutely not.”

“There’s no castle being built,” they added, “not at all.”

It comes after trucks earlier this week descended on Madison Square Garden, each of them packed with equipment and decorations for the venue. There were also boxes, including several labeled “Garden Party” in purple and a second box reading “Mirror Ball.”

In a clip obtained by TMZ, a giant white staircase can also be seen being craned into MSG. Other photos appear to show the matching white bannisters, which in part sparked all the castle speculation.

According to various reports, the “Fate of Ophelia” singer is slated to trade vows with Kelce at The Garden on Friday in front of over 1,000 guests. A city official also recently confirmed to the Daily News that an event company had filed a permit to close the streets around the storied venue from Thursday to midday Saturday.
